Broas de Mel | My Portuguese Kitchen

It's been a while, Hi!
How are things?

Here I am, back from our Portuguese holidays,
finding it hard to detach from a dreamlike state.
I feel somewhat divided,
with half of me still lingering behind,
half of me, left home with family.
It always takes a while to get settled back in.

We spent the past weeks,
sharing pieces of Portugal,
It's endless summer and comforting food.

Perhaps these pretties will ease us back in, Broas de Mel!

Hola! Para mim, não existem melhores broas de mel que as da Confeitaria Muralhas (Porto, perto dos Clérigos) Nunca comi tão boas como estas! Mas seus bolos são a meu ver muito bons e feitos com muito amor!

  8. These look delicious! What an interesting series, I know nothing about Portugese food… It doesn’t seem that widespread in the UK compared to other European cuisines (and now we are in Italy it’s hard to find anything that isn’t Italian!) I look forward to finding out more about it.

    • Oh thank you Katie. Portuguese food is amazing, and you’re right, it isn’t so divulged as other european cuisines. But I can assure you, everyone that’s tried it has fallen head over heels for it.
